When it comes to weekend, I can’t get enough of it. It always seems too short, and as my weekend time is uber valuable I try to squeeze every last drop out of it. Full of adventure and fun, I think its time I really start sharing a quick re-cap of what I have been up to!
When the clock strikes 18:00 on Thursday I quickly grabbed my oh so beautiful new cherry red Fendi bag, which I bought on the same day!!
I jump in to the car to head home and glam myself up for a very special occasion. The brand new restaurant CUT invited me and John for an intimate VIP thanksgiving dinner with some of Dubai’s fines crowd. Speaking of finest, so was the Turkey they served!
This super glam award winning restaurant by celebrity chef Wolfgang puck created a special thanksgiving menu which would impress the most harshest food critics.
Master chef Wolfgang Puck who is known for steak as his speciality.
Entering the New York themed bar area, we were warmly welcomed with the most incredible cocktails made by their own specialist bar tenders who were very passionate about the cocktails they served.
Explaining all the ingredients we began with a very appropriate ‘devil in disguise’ which was an amazing blend of fine tequilas, passion fruit, lime and chilli….perfect for exciting the pre-sinner senses!
Walking through to the restaurant, surrounded with a feeling of elegance and class the music created a subtle mature taste and vibe which perfectly complimented the back drop of the stunning Burj Khalifa.
While chatting about fashion, food, love, and life the waiters spoiled us with a mix of amazing dishes such as truffle ravioli, steak tartar..
and as you expect at a thanksgiving dinner, a decorative hand stuffed turkey! Accompanies by Dubai’s top IT crowd lialli from Pintsized fashionista, Nathalia from five five fabulous, Dima from Plush beirut and Slimi Dayaa we “stuffed” our faces with “stuffed” turkey and exquisite cocktails. The great company and atmosphere gave our Thursday night a 10 out of 10!
On Friday we decided to spend the day at the tropical pool of PURO beach.
With its balearic vibe Puro is the perfect place to recharge your battery and unwind after a hectic working week. Just imagine, a comfortable sunbed, chill tunes on the back ground and pint sized lemon grass cocktails which make you wish it was weekend every day.
We ordered some sharing bites from the menu such as chicken skewers, mini beef burgers and healthy salmon fillets.
And the hardest thing for anyone the resist must be the pool which had a beautiful waterfall and is surrounded by tropical foliage.
As the sun sets the tranquil atmosphere transforms into an energetic night spot. A perfect hotspot for those who love to enjoy one place from day to night.
We finished our weekend with a relaxing breakfast at Leopold’s of London with a view on the newly refurbished JBR beach. Leopold of London is designed by the super talented designer Andrew Francis, which happens to be my brother too ;-))
Leopold’s of London is a Café during the day, a Brasserie at night, and it is always busy as they are Specialized in the finest tea and coffee. To satisfy the tummy you will surely never be disappointed by their yummy soups, salads and sandwiches!
But most importantly the super epic interior! The wall that looks inspired by an old fashioned pharmacy cabinet and the big glass baubles that are made to brew the finest coffee almost set the atmosphere as a gastronomic food lab!
The foilage wall gives it such a welcoming entrance!
Wearing Fendi bag – Hamac beach wear and Marni slippers
And after an nice stroll on the beach and an amazing weekend like this I can definitely say that I am fully recharged!
