When I walked in the Mall of emirates I catched a glimpse in the corner of my eye of some weird polka dotted sculptures. YES! Louis Vuitton’s has new windows! I have to apologize for my enthusiasm, but I always get so excited to see which new masterpiece they have created for their window displays. Being a leader in window display design, LV has never disappointed me with their windows.
This time, the window is definitely different than their usual windows. Polkadots instead of mirrored gold objects? NO PRODUCTS DISPLAYED IN THE WINDOW?? I got so curious to find out what the whole story was behind the display, because this must be a good one.. And yes it is! The windows and collection are a collaboration with who else then the amazingly talented artist Yayoi Kusama! The first time I heard of Kusama was in a documentary about Marc Jacobs where he is Visiting Kusama in Japan. (The documentary is definitely a must see, but that’s another topic) Now, almost 6 years later, It’s amazing to see that he has finally created a collection inspired by Kusama’s art. The windows are focused on her themes “beginning of the universe” and “Eternal Blooming Flowers in my mind”
Below some of the content related to this amazing collaboration!
